Greenovators, an initiative by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and EARTH University, celebrated and empowered youth-driven climate innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
In 2014, at a ceremony hosted by EARTH University in Costa Rica, Maria José clinched first place among more than 400 applicants with her project, "MÜN: Sculptures and Artistic Furniture from Recycled Material." Two years later, in 2016, at the IADB headquarters in Washington DC, live presentations provided a platform to discuss the challenges and showcase the results of projects like Maria José's.
Greenovators spotlighted pioneering projects addressing regional climate challenges, spanning renewable energy solutions, eco-friendly agricultural practices, and resilient urban planning.
Greenovators, committed to empowering youth leadership and advancing innovative climate solutions, is leading the way toward a sustainable future in Latin America and the Caribbean.
